3.1 Overview
Follow these steps to troubleshoot the scanner:
1. Run a scan through the user interface and note which indicator lights are
on. Then determine their meaning in Scanner Self-Diagnostics
on
page 24, and try the remedy provided.
2. If that doesn’t work, see Unit-Level Troubleshooting
on page 24.
3.2 Error Processing
Fatal errors
!
Cause
• Blown bulb (illumination is low)
• Carriage does not return to home position
• Other Scanner malfunction
!
Process
• Lamp turns off and operation stops
• A status Bit 7 is set
!
Display
• LED lights red
!
Reset
After removing the cause of the error:
• Turn the power back on
• Disconnect and then re-connect the USB cable
• Send ESC @
