To keep your printer working correctly and to prevent any issues with print quality, perform the regular
maintenance described below.
Vacuuming the Airflow Vents
Clean the airflow vents shown below with a vacuum cleaner every three months.

Empty out the scrap paper box. When replacing paper. See “Emptying the Scrap Paper Box” on page 56.
Vacuum the airflow vents. Every three months. See “Vacuuming the Airflow Vents” on page 59.
Clean dust inside the printer. Every three months. See “Cleaning Inside the Printer” on page 60.
