Certificates
A certificate establishes a secure connection between your phone
and the WAP gateway. When you are browsing a secure site a
Secure connection symbol displays in the upper right portion
of the browsers title bar.
A site that might require a certificate would be your financial
institution’s site. You can find and download certificates from
certain WAP sites. Ask your network operator or service provider
for the WAP address.
Note: You can not edit certificates.
To add a certificate:
• When you go to a site that requires a certificate, it is
downloaded and the New Certificate view displays. The
details of the certificate appear.
• Tap to confirm or to cancel the download.
To delete a certificate:
1. From within the Extras tab, tap System and choose
Preferences.
2. Select WAP Services from the list.
3. Select Certificates from the list.
The WAP-certificates view displays listing the available
certificates.
4. Select the certificate that you want to delete.
5. Tap and select Delete.
6. Tap OK to confirm the deletion.
The WAP-certificate view displays.
Service Providers
A number of service providers can be set up in your R380. If
there is only one service provider available, then it is used as the
default. If there is more than one service provider available, then
you are asked which service provider to connect to upon
connection.
