10.1 Maintenance
VOLTAGES IN PLASMA CUTTING EQUIPMENT ARE HIGH ENOUGH TO CAUSE
SERIOUS INJURY OR POSSIBLY DEATH. BE CAREFUL AROUND EQUIPMENT
WHEN THE COVERS ARE REMOVED.
A maintenance schedule should be created and based on the following variables, amount of usage, place-
ment of machine and cleanliness of local environment. A maximum time between should be no more the
90 days.
External:Checkworkcableforworninsulationandconrmtightelectricalconnections.Checksafety
groundgroundatworkpieceandatpowersource.Checktorchcablesforworninsulationandconrmtight
electricalconnections.Drainanymoisturefromthebowloftheinputlter/regulator.
Internal:Checkfordiscoloredconnectionsastheyindicatealooseconnection.Checkallplugs,ttings
andelectricalconnectionsfortightness.Makesurecablesandhosesarenotdamaged,attenedorkinked.
With input power disconnected and wearing proper eye and face protection, blow out accumulated dirt and
foreignmaterialsfortheinsideofunit.Extraattentionshouldbegiventothennedheatsinks.
Water or oil occasionally accumulates in compressed lines. Be sure to direct the rst blast of air
away from the equipment to avoid damage to the EPP400
