Abbreviation Expansion
Abbreviation Expansion is an option in the WORD PREDICTION MENU.
Abbreviation expansion allows you to type abbreviations of words you use
in many contexts, such as your name and address, greetings, or phrases like
"I don't know" or "In my opinion", etc. You enter the abbreviation, then the
whole word or phrase.
For example, you might tell the VT to type and speak "I don't know" when
you enter the abbreviation "idk", or to type and speak your name when you
enter your initials.
Any abbreviation expansion you enter will override any matching
abbreviation or word of the same letters that is already in your Essence|VT.
For example, if you enter "add" as the abbreviation for your address,
whenever you type "add" you will get your address instead of the word
"add". Use something like "adr" or "ads" instead so the word "add" is still
available for you to use.
As with Word Prediction, you use a menu to add abbreviations to the VT.
