To tighten the harness straps, pull the adjuster strap
on the harness. To loosen the harness,squeeze the strap
adjuster and pull the harness strap below the adjuster.

Adjusting the Harness Straps
Shoulder harness straps on this child restraint are
adjustable to three positions. The crotch strap with
buckle is adjustable to two positions.
The shoulder harness straps should ALWAYS be
snug against the child and as close as possible to, but
NEVER BELOW, the child’s shoulders. The crotch
strap should always be snug against the child.

Place child in the child restraint.
The child’s back and bottom
should be flat against the
restraint. If there is a gap, the
child will not be comfortable.
Slide each harness strap over
the child’s shoulders. Insert the
buckle tongues into the buckle.
Pull up on the harness straps to
ensure that the buckle tongues
are engaged.
NOTE: Make sure the shoul-
der harness straps are at or
above the child’s shoulders.

Fasten the chest clip by snapping the two halves
together as shown. Slide chest clip to armpit level. The
harness straps must be snug against the child. A snug
strap should not allow any slack. It lies in a relatively
straight line without sagging. It does not press on the
child’s flesh or push the child’s body into an unnatural
position. Check both sets of harness straps for slack and
adjust as needed.
