Pull the seat pad off of the
front of the child restraint.
Route the lap belt through
the rear-facing belt path
and continue through the
opposite opening of the
child restraint. Fasten the
buckle.
IMPORTANT: The crotch
buckle must be in the inner
slot and the vehicle belt
must be located in front of
the buckle.
Reconnect the seat pad
to the front of the child
restraint.
The vehicle seat belt
must be as tight as
possible. Using your full
weight, push the child
restraint firmly into the
vehicle seat as you tighten
the vehicle seat belt, as
shown.
DO NOT use lock-off with lap belt only installation.
Check your work. Make certain the belt is tight and
locked. If you can move the child restraint more than 2.5
cm (1 in.) side to side or front to back at the rear-facing
belt path, the vehicle belt is not tight enough.
Recheck level line (pg. 32). If you have not tightly
secured the child restraint, try again, move it to another
location, or install with the lower anchor connector
assembly (pg. 28).
To remove seat, unbuckle vehicle seat belt.
