What to do if Everbilt J100A3 Water Pump delivers water but does not shut off?
    • C
      Connie SmithJul 25, 2025
If your Everbilt water pump runs continuously or cycles too frequently, several issues could be the cause. First, ensure all faucets are closed. A common cause is a waterlogged pressure tank lacking an air cushion; drain the tank to the air volume control port and inspect the AVC for defects, checking connections for air leaks. Other potential causes include a misadjusted or welded pressure switch (adjust or replace after disconnecting power), a clogged venturi, nozzle, or impeller (clean these components), leaky pipes (check connections), or faulty foot valves (replace them). Also, check the air charge in the pre-charged tank; after disconnecting power and relieving pressure, the air pressure should be at 28 PSI. Inspect the air valve for leaks and replace the core if needed.

Why does my Everbilt J100A3 Water Pump not deliver water to full capacity?
    • M
      Mitchell RiceAug 4, 2025
There are several reasons why your Everbilt water pump might not be delivering water to its full capacity. The water level in the well could be lower than estimated, requiring a deep well jet if the depth to water exceeds 25 ft. If you're using steel piping, corrosion or liming could be causing excess friction; replace it with plastic pipe where possible, or use new steel pipe. Insufficient pipe size can also restrict flow, so consider using larger piping. Lastly, the well point might be packed, requiring backflushing or sinking a new point.

What to do if Everbilt J100A3 has air spurts from the faucets?
    • J
      jeffreyingramAug 15, 2025
If you're experiencing air spurts from the faucets with your Everbilt water pump, it could be due to several reasons. The pump might be picking up prime; once primed, it should pump solid water without air. Another cause could be a leak in the suction side of the pump, where the suction pipe is drawing in air; check joints for leaks using shaving cream. If the well is gaseous, consult the factory about installing a sleeve in the well. Also, intermittent over-pumping of the well can cause this issue if the water is drawn down below the foot valve; lower the foot valve if possible, or restrict pump discharge.
