Why is my Everbilt Water Pump not running?
- JJason RobinsonJul 29, 2025
If your Everbilt Water Pump isn't running or is just humming, several things could be wrong. The water level might not be high enough to activate the float switch; it needs to be at least 1-1/2 in. high. The float switch could be blocked by debris, so clean the float switch cage. Also, the impeller might be stuck or jammed; inspect and remove any debris. Check the outlet to ensure the pump is getting power, and reset the GFCI outlet if needed. If the pump has overheated, unplug it and wait 30 minutes before plugging it back in. Ensure the liquid temperature is between 32°F and 95°F. If none of these solutions work, the motor may have failed, and you may need to replace the pump.
