Why does the impeller on my Everbilt EBTP1 wear out so quickly?
    • S
      Shelley StewartAug 6, 2025
The Everbilt Water Pump is designed to pump clear water only. If the impeller wears out quickly, it could be due to: * Sand, dirt, or other grit in the water accelerating wear. * Pumping some liquid other than water. This pump is designed to pump clear water only. Pumping anything other than clear water will void the warranty.

What to do if the impeller is broken on my Everbilt EBTP1 Water Pump?
    • L
      leetracyAug 13, 2025
If the impeller on your Everbilt Water Pump is broken, it's likely because the pump picked up debris that caused the damage, or it has run dry for too long. Replace the impeller.

What to do if my Everbilt EBTP1 motor does not run or is humming?
    • R
      Robert PrattAug 21, 2025
If your Everbilt Water Pump motor isn't running or is just humming, and the pump isn't working, here's what to check: * First, ensure the pump is getting power by checking the outlet, fuse, or circuit breaker. Also, reset the GFCI outlet if needed. * Inspect the impeller area for any debris and remove it to ensure free rotation. Check the cooling vents at the back of the pump’s motor and remove any foreign objects if present. * If the pump has overheated from dry running, unplug it and wait for 30 minutes before plugging it back in. * If the liquid temperature is below 32°F or above 95°F, do not operate the pump. * Check and replace the brushes, if they are worn out. If none of these steps work, the motor may have failed, and the pump may need replacement.

Why is my Everbilt EBTP1 Water Pump motor running but not pumping water?
    • D
      Diana WrightAug 28, 2025
If your Everbilt Water Pump motor runs but no water is discharged, or the flow rate is lower than you'd expect, consider the following: * Check the suction and discharge hose or pipe for any blockages. Ensure the hose/pipe isn't narrower than the pump's discharge and doesn't exceed the maximum length specified in the manual. * Do not route the discharge hose/pipe higher than 48 ft. * If the discharge hose is restricted, use a shorter, thicker hose and check for coils or kinks. * Replace collapsed suction hose with a reinforced, suction-rated type. Repair or replace suction hose if there is a leak. * Inspect the impeller and volute for wear or breakage, repairing as needed. Also, check for clogs in the impeller and the suction and discharge ports.
