Exterior Equipment
WARNING
equipment installed in the compartments below
the stern seats.
Notice:
Periodically inspect the backrest latches and
supports for wear, damage or loose t. Any
problems should be corrected immediately.
PASSENGERS SITTING OR STANDING ON THE REAR DECK
WHILE THE BOAT IS CRUISING COULD LOOSE THEIR BALANCE
AND FALL OVERBOARD INTO THE BOAT PROPELLER OR BE
LOST IN OPEN WATER. ALWAYS MAKE SURE PASSENGERS
RIDING IN THE REAR OF THE COCKPIT ARE PROPERLY
SEATED IN THE STERN SEAT SEATS WHENEVER THE BOAT
IS UNDERWAY.
Stern Baitwell
The stern baitwell is in the center of the rear
deck, just forward of the engine. The baitwell is
equipped with a Plexiglas hatch with a “push to
close” latch. The baitwell drains by gravity to a
thru-hull tting in the hull.
A centrifugal pump located in the stern bilge sup-
plies seawater to the baitwell. An adjustable inlet
valve controls water ow and a removable over-
ow tube controls the water level. The baitwell
should be drained and rinsed clean with fresh
water after each use. Refer to the Raw Water
System and Drainage Systems chapters for more
information on the operation of the baitwell.
Rod Racks
There are recessed rod storage racks located
below the gunnel on each side of the cockpit.
They are equipped with stretch cords to secure
the rods to the racks. Always make sure the rods
are properly secured in the storage racks with the
rod tips forward.
Rod Lockers and Bow Storage
There are rod storage lockers located below lock-
able hatches on either side of the cockpit near the
bow. The hatches are secured with special locking,
ush mounted, twist lock latches.
The rod racks are equipped with stretch cords to
secure the rods. Always make sure the rods are
properly secured to the racks with the rod tips
forward. The lockers drain by gravity to the bilge.
There is a large storage compartment located in
