Exterior Equipment
Ski Tow
Some hardtop frames are equipped with a ski tow
designed for pulling one average sized skier or
wakeboarder. You should never tow more than
one skier or wakeboarder from the ski tow. Tow-
ing more than one skier will put too much strain
on the fabrication and could cause damage to the
hardtop, console or cockpit sole.
Always use high quality tow ropes with attach-
ment loops when pulling wakeboarders or skiers.
The tow rope should always be attached using
the attachment loops and never tied to the ski
tow or to any type of metal hook. Tied ski ropes
are very difcult to remove and metal hooks will
damage the ski tow and the powder coated alu-
minum around it. Additionally, a metal hook can
cause injury to your skier if it breaks under the
strain of the tow.
When attaching a tow rope using the attachment
loops, hold the attachment loop in one hand and
pull a length of rope on the handle side of the
loop through the loop, creating another 6” loop.
Slide the loop just created over the ski tow tting
and pull the handle side of the rope to tighten the
loop around the tow tting. This procedure will
attach the rope securely to the ski tow, be easy
to remove and will not come off if the skier or
wakeboarder falls.
Refer to Water Skiing in the Operation chapter
for safety information on operating the boat with
a skier.
Notice:
The warranty for the hardtop will be void if
it is modied in any way or overloaded by
towing too many skiers, wakeboarders or
another boat. Additionally, if items like an-
tennas, spotlights and other accessories are
mounted improperly or in the wrong location,
the warranty could be void. If you intend to
add equipment or make modications to the
hardtop, you should contact your dealer or
Everglades Customer Service to make sure
the equipment you would like to add or the
intended modication will not void the war-
ranty.

Crow’s Nest (Optional)
The Crow’s Nest (observation tower) is a powder
coated, welded aluminum frame that is bolted to
the hardtop. A removable ladder that attaches to
the starboard side of the hardtop provides access
to the Crow’s Nest.
The ladder is stowed in special brackets in the
cockpit sides below the gunnel. Always make
sure the ladder is removed from the hardtop and
properly secured in the brackets before operating
the boat above trolling speeds.
The Crow’s Nest is intended to be an observation
station only, it does not have controls. Refer to
the Operation chapter for information on the safe
operation of the boat while someone is riding in
the Crow’s Nest.
Do not overload the Crow’s Nest. It is designed
to hold the weight of only one average-sized per-
son. Weight in the Crow’s Nest raises the boat’s
center of gravity. Too much weight could make
the boat unstable.
