7.3 Note Acceptor Maintenance
T
he MEI (Mars) note acceptor has become the standard in the vending and gaming industry. In
the event you have a problem you can find your local Mars repair center and have them to
diagnose and repair the unit. The following are just a few steps you can take to ensure that
your unit is in the most ready condition.

f note acceptor is showing signs of
decreased performance perform the
following: Remove note box,
R
emove the lower sensor block by
raising the locator pin shown and
slice the sensor unit out by slightly
pulling on it. Once unit is removed
clean it with a damp cloth. Pay
special attention to the optical
lights. DO NOT use harsh solvents.
