What to do if I can't edit the Operator Name in the Generate Report page of my EXFO Test Equipment?

  If you are unable to edit the Operator Name in the Generate Report page, it is likely because the EXFO Connect Server check box is selected in EXFO Connect Client. This is the expected behavior, as the Operator Name is selected from the EXFO Connect operator name list. To edit the Operator Name, clear the EXFO Connect Server check box from EXFO Connect Client, then close and restart the module application.

  The optical laser LED might be off and not generating a signal on your EXFO Test Equipment due to several reasons. First, the Laser On option may be disabled; ensure that the Laser button is enabled. Second, there could be a configuration mismatch between the inserted transceiver and the rate selected for the test case; ensure that the transceiver supports the rate used for the test case. Finally, the transceiver might not be compatible with the module; ensure you are using a compatible transceiver.

  If you are unable to start a module application even when no other module application is running, it might be because another module Instrument is in use due to an active SCPI interface. Disable the remote control of the running instrument.
