Programmable keys
1. You can configure shortcuts for the programmable keys.
2. Press Menu > Basic > Keyboard, select among the
configurable items, and select your desired type and value,
press OK key.
Do not disturb
1. Press DND soft key, and enable the device do not disturb
mode.
2. Or press Menu > Features > DND, and select the Mode and
Type, and press OK key.
Voice mail
1. To access your voice mailbox, press or Menu
> Message > Voice Message, number of messages will be
indicated if provided by your server or pbx.
2. Select the line and press Play to call.
Call list
Phonebook
Access phonebook:
Add new entry:
1. Press or Contact soft key or Menu > Contact >
Local Contacts.
2. Select All Contacts or other groups.
3. To dial an entry, press Dial soft key or pickup handset
or press or .
1. Press Contact soft key, Press All Contacts or other
group > Press Add.
2. Enter name and number and press OK soft key.
1. Press key or Menu > Call Log > Local Call Logs.
2. Scroll through the list using .

Call forward
1. Press Menu > Features > Call Forward.
2. Select the line, the type of forward, enter the destination
number and status , and press OK soft key.
Call transfer
Attended transfer:
Blind transfer:
1. Press key or Xfer soft key during the active conversation,
the call is put on hold.
2. Dial the second telephone number.
1. Press key or Xfer soft key during the active conversation,
the call will be on hold.
2. Then enter the 2nd telephone number and press key
or Xfer soft key.
3. When the call is answered, then press key or Xfer soft
key to complete the operation.
Putting a call on hold
1. Press key or Hold soft key, caller is put on hold.
2. To retrieve the call press key or Resume soft key.
Note: with more than one active call, select desired call with
the navigator keys and use the corresponding soft key to
hold or resume.
Multiparty conference
1. Once in line with 1st caller, press key or Conf soft key,
1st caller is put on hold.
2. Then call the 2nd number.
3. After, 2nd call is established, press key or Conf soft key to
set up the conference.

Overview

This document describes the Fanvil X303/X303G/X303P IP Phone, providing a quick installation guide and user manual.

Device Overview

The Fanvil X303/X303G/X303P is an IP Phone designed for various communication needs, supporting features like call handling, conferencing, call forwarding, and voicemail. It comes with a handset, handset cord, Ethernet cable, and a quick installation guide. An optional power adapter and wall stand are also available.

Installation

The device supports both desktop and wall-mounted installations. For desktop installation, the phone bracket is attached to the main unit. For wall mounting, the wall stand (sold separately) is used, with the installation height recommended to be less than 2 meters from the ground.

Connections:

  • Power Port: Connects to the power adapter.
  • Network Port: Connects to the local area network or the internet.
  • PC Port: Connects the network port to a computer.
  • Headset Port: Connects to a headset.
  • Handset Port: Connects to the IP Phone handset.

Configuration

The phone can be configured via its LCD menu or a web browser.

LCD Menu Configuration:

  1. Access Menu > System (default password: 123).
  2. Network Settings: Configure IPv4/IPv6 settings under Network.
  3. Account Settings: Enable the account and input SIP server address, port, user name, and password under Accounts.
  4. Save the configuration.

Web Configuration:

  1. Obtain the IP address from the phone by pressing the OK key or navigating to Menu > Status > ETH.
  2. Access the web interface by entering the IP address in a web browser. The PC and phone must be on the same IP address segment. The default username and password are 'admin'.
  3. Configure network and account settings as needed.
  4. Save the configuration.

Basic Call Features

Making a Call:

  • Pre-dialing: Enter the phone number and then pick up the handset.
  • Direct Dialing: Lift the handset and then enter the phone number.
  • Handsfree: Enter the phone number and press the Handsfree key, or vice versa.
  • Headset: Enter the phone number and press the Headset key, or vice versa.
  • Designated Line: Press the line key, enter the phone number, and then press the Dial soft key.

Accepting a Call:

  • Using the Handset: Pick up the handset.
  • Using the Headset: Press the Headset key.
  • Using the Handsfree: Press the Handsfree key.

Redial:

  • Press the Redial key to redial the last called number.

Call Mute:

  • Press the Mute key to mute the microphone during a call.
  • Press the Mute key again to unmute the conversation.

Putting a Call on Hold:

  1. Press the Hold key or Hold soft key. The caller is put on hold.
  2. To retrieve the call, press the Hold key or Resume soft key.
  • Note: With multiple active calls, use the navigator keys to select the desired call and then use the corresponding soft key to hold or resume.

Call Transfer:

  • Attended Transfer:
    1. Press the Transfer key or Xfer soft key during an active conversation. The call is put on hold.
    2. Dial the second telephone number.
    3. Once the second call is answered, press the Transfer key or Xfer soft key to complete the transfer.
  • Blind Transfer:
    1. Press the Transfer key or Xfer soft key during an active conversation. The call is put on hold.
    2. Enter the second telephone number and press the Transfer key or Xfer soft key.

Call Forward:

  1. Navigate to Menu > Features > Call Forward.
  2. Select the line, the type of forward, enter the destination number, and set the status.
  3. Press the OK soft key.

Multiparty Conference:

  1. While in a call with the first caller, press the Conference key or Conf soft key. The first caller is put on hold.
  2. Call the second number.
  3. Once the second call is established, press the Conference key or Conf soft key to set up the conference.

Advanced Features

Programmable Keys:

  1. Navigate to Menu > Basic > Keyboard.
  2. Select among the configurable items and choose the desired type and value.
  3. Press the OK key.

Do Not Disturb (DND):

  1. Press the DND soft key to enable DND mode.
  2. Alternatively, navigate to Menu > Features > DND, select the Mode and Type, and press the OK key.

Voice Mail:

  1. To access your voice mailbox, press the Voice Mail key or navigate to Menu > Message > Voice Message. The number of messages will be indicated if supported by your server or PBX.
  2. Select the line and press Play to call.

Call List:

  1. Press the Call Log key or navigate to Menu > Call Log > Local Call Logs.
  2. Scroll through the list using the navigation keys.
  3. To dial an entry, press the Dial soft key, pick up the handset, or press the Handsfree key or Headset key.

Phonebook:

  • Access Phonebook:
    1. Press the Contact key or Contact soft key, or navigate to Menu > Contact > Local Contacts.
    2. Select All Contacts or other groups.
    3. To dial an entry, press the Dial soft key, pick up the handset, or press the Handsfree key or Headset key.
  • Add New Entry:
    1. Press the Contact soft key, then All Contacts or other group, then Add.
    2. Enter the name and number, and press the OK soft key.

Key Functions:

  • Soft keys: Context-sensitive functions displayed on the screen.
  • Message waiting indicator: Indicates new messages.
  • Navigation keys (Left, Right, Up, Down, OK): Used for menu navigation, accessing call logs, status, and menu.
  • Hold key: Puts a call on hold or resumes it.
  • Transfer key: Initiates a call transfer.
  • Conference key: Initiates a multiparty conference.
  • Phonebook key: Accesses the phonebook.
  • Voice messages key: Accesses voicemail.
  • Headset key: Activates/deactivates the headset.
  • Redial key: Accesses the last dialed record.
  • Mute key: Activates/deactivates silent mode (idle) or mutes/unmutes a call (communication).
  • Volume keys (+/-): Increases/decreases ringer volume (idle/ringing) or handset/headset/hands-free volume (communication).
  • Hands-free key: Activates/deactivates hands-free mode.
  • Lock keypad (Long press): Locks the keypad. Enter PIN (default 123) to unlock.
