Starting a cold engine

Freezing control cables in cold
weather.

You could be unable to control the
vehicle, which could lead to an
accident or collision.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
When riding in cold weather, always
make sure all control cables work
smoothly before you begin riding.
1. Apply the brake.
2. Shift the drive select lever into the
neutral position.
