To remove and/or replace the motor:
1. Remove cutter assembly from cabinet. (See section on removing cutting block)
2. Disconnect the 3 motor wires from the main PC board. (See wiring diagram.)
3. Disconnect the ground wire from the cabinet.
4. Remove the gear box cover and gear assembly.
5. Remove the 4 bolts that hold the motor to the bearing plate.
Gears
The gears are protected by the gearbox cover.
225i Gear Drive 225Ci/225Mi Gear Drive
To remove/replace the motor gears:
1. Remove the 8 Phillips screws that hold the gear cover to the gear box.
2. Remove the 2
nd
stage combo gear.
3. Remove the 3
rd
stage gear assembly.
4. Remove the short shaft synchron gears. Note: By removing this gear re-timing of the
cutters on cross-cut machines will be necessary.(see timing diagram on page 16)
5. Remove 1
st
stage gear.
6. Reassemble the motor gears.
o Add lithium high temperature grease as needed.
7. Replace the gearbox cover.
