6.3 CHEST IMMOBILISATION
Fit the chin strap.
Warning!
- The fastening buckle is similar to the buckles on the
triangularheadimmobiliser;followthesameinstructionsto
secure it.
Tiethexedcheststrapsinacowhitch.
Warning!
- Take care to leave the carrying handle out of the cow hitch.
Fit the adjustable chest strap following the same procedure.
Warning!
- Make sure that the resulting restraint, once properly
buckled, crosses the patient's chest from above the
shoulder to the opposite armpit.
- Make sure that the coupled buckles have the same colour
code.
