Checking the coolant level
Only perform this procedure with the
engine cold. Never remove the cap from the
expansion tank when the engine is running
and/or warm.
• Remove the cap from the expansion tank
in the engine compartment and check
that the level is about 40 mm (1.57 in.)
from the top of the ller neck.
• If the level is low, top it up with the
speci ed uid.
If frequent top-ups are required after
short trips, have the system checked
by the Ferrari Service Network
.
• Screw the cap back on tightly.
The oil contained in the brake, clutch
and hydraulic steering systems,
besides damaging plastic, rubber and
painted parts, is highly dangerous if it
comes into contact with the eyes or the skin.
In case of contact, wash the affected part
thoroughly with running water.
To avoid any risk, always use protective
goggles and gloves.
Keep away from children!
Never dispose of used uid in the
environment!
On vehicles with F1 gearbox, the tank
supplies the brake system only.
The symbol shown on the adhesive label
on the tank indicates that there is synthetic
uid in the system.
Use of mineral uids will cause
irreparable damage to the rubber
gaskets of the system.
Do not use uids other than those already
contained in the system for topping up.
• After topping up, screw the ller cap back
on.
• Re t the inspection cover.
Checking the brake/clutch uid level
• To access the tank, lift the engine
compartment lid (see page 38) and
remove the inspection cover.
• Check that the uid in the tank is near
the MAX level.
• If the level is low, unscrew the ller cap
and top up with the speci ed oil taken
from an intact container.
