Fuel cut-off inertia switch
The fuel system is  tted with an automatic
safety switch which is activated in the event
of a collision, cutting off the fuel  ow and
consequently stopping the engine and
preventing the fuel from spreading if the
pipes have burst.
If you smell fuel after a collision or
notice any leaks, do not reset the
switch in order to prevent the risk of  re.
The inertia switch is positioned on the left-
hand side of the passenger compartment, in
the lower part of the front door pillar and is
protected by a metal bracket.
Resetting the system
After checking that there are no fuel leaks:
• Remove the cover and press the button A
on the switch.

• Turn the key to position II, wait a few
seconds and start the engine.
• Check once again that there are no fuel
leaks.
