Turning the boiler off and on
It is possible to switch from one mode to another by pressing the winter/summer/off button for
about one second, following the sequence given in fig. 8.
A =Winter mode
B =Summer mode
C =Off mode
To turn the boiler off, press the summer/winter/off button (detail 7 - fig. 1) repeatedly until the
display shows dashes.
fig. 8- Turning the boiler off
When the boiler is turned off, the PCB is still
powered. DHW and heating are disabled.
The frost protection system remains on. To
turn the boiler back on, press the summer/
winter/off button again (detail 7 - fig. 1).
fig. 9
The boiler will be immediately ready in Winter and DHW mode.
B
The frost protection system does not work when the power
and/or gas to the unit are turned off. To avoid damage
caused by freezing during long shutdowns in winter, it is
advisable to drain all water from the boiler, the DHW circuit
and the heating system water; or drain just the DHW cir-
cuit and add a suitable antifreeze to the heating system,
as prescribed in sec. 2.3.
NOTE - If the winter icon appears on the display and the multifunction numbers are present, the
boiler is in “Winter” mode.
