6. Maintenance

6.1CleaningandStorage
Cleanthemeterwithadampclothandmilddetergent;donotuseabrasivesorsolvents.
Ifthemeterisnottobeusedforanextendedperiod,removethebatteriesandstorethem
separately.
6.2BatteryReplacement
CAUTION:Disconnectthemeterfromtheconductorundertestandswitchthe
meterOFFbeforeopeningthebatterycompartment.

1. RemovethebatterycompartmentPhillipsheadscrewfromthebackofthemeter.
2. Removethebatterycompartmentcover.
3. Replacethe2‘AAA’1.5Vbatteriesobservingcorrectpolarity.
4. Re‐attachthebatterycompartmentcover.
5. SecurethecompartmentcoverwiththePhillipsheadscrew.

6.2.1DisposalofElectronicWaste
Aswithmostelectronicproducts,thisequipmentmustbedisposedofinanenvironmentally
friendlyway,andinaccordancewithexistingregulationsforelectronicwaste.
