Also, the capacitor and/or relay could be defective, so replace them as required. If neither of those steps work, the compressor itself may be defective and require replacement.

  Your Follett Refrigerator might not be maintaining the correct temperature due to several reasons. The condensor or evaporator coil may need cleaning. Another possible cause is a faulty door gasket, which should be replaced. Also, excessively high ambient temperature or inadequate air clearance can be the reason. The maximum recommended ambient temperature is 100 F (38 C). A refrigerant leak or incorrect refrigerant charge could also be the cause. In this case you should locate and repair the leak, or recover, evaluate, and weigh in the correct charge. Other possible causes are a plugged capillary tube (replace capillary tube and filter drier) or an inefficient compressor (consult technical services).
