4.2.2.1 Open Parking Brake
Open Parking Brake menu allows to open the rear caliper for repairs.
To open the rear calliper:
1. Connect the scan tool to vehicle power and turn ignition on.
2. Cycle the EPB on and off using the switch in your vehicle. Ensure it is disengaged before
continuing.
3. Select Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) from Maintenance Function menu.

4. A screen asking you if you are working on an A8 vehicle displays. Answer YES, if you are
working on an A8, or answer NO if not.

5. Select Open Parking Brake from the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) menu and press the
ENTER key.
