6. Press the function key Start. Listen carefully and you will hear the EPB open wide.

7. When it is done opening, the screen will show “Successful”.

8. The scan tool can now be disconnected and ignition shut off. Replace the brake pads and/or
perform needed repairs.
4.2.2.2 Close Parking Brake
Close Parking Brake menu allows to close the rear caliper after completing the mechanical
repairs.
To close the rear calliper:
1. Select Close Parking Brake from the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) menu and press the
ENTER key.
