What to do if Freemotion Treadmill power does not turn on?
    • R
      Ray GainesJul 27, 2025
First, ensure the power cord is correctly plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet, using a single-outlet surge suppressor. Note that the treadmill isn't compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. Next, make sure the key is inserted into the console after plugging in the power cord. Finally, check the reset/off circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes, the circuit breaker has tripped; wait five minutes, then press the switch to reset it.

How to recalibrate the incline on a Freemotion Treadmill?
    • E
      Eric PriceJul 31, 2025
To recalibrate the incline, hold down the Stop button and the Speed increase button, insert the key into the console, and then release the Stop button and the Speed increase button. Press the Stop button and then press the Incline increase or decrease button. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level. If the incline does not calibrate, press the Stop button again, and then press the Incline increase or decrease button again.

      thomaslaurenAug 5, 2025
If your treadmill turns off, first check the reset/off circuit breaker and reset it if tripped by waiting five minutes before pressing the switch. Also, ensure the power cord is securely plugged in; if it is, unplug it, wait five minutes, and plug it back in. Another solution is to remove and reinsert the key from the console.

Why is my Freemotion XTr Treadmill walking belt off-center or slipping?
    • R
      Ronald HodgesAug 10, 2025
If the walking belt is off-center, remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left idler roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn. If it has shifted right, turn the left idler roller bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn, being careful not to overtighten it. If the belt slips, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Turn both idler roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn until you can lift each edge of the belt 3 to 4 inches off the platform.

Why does my Freemotion Treadmill walking belt slow down when I walk on it?
    • A
      adammeadowsAug 15, 2025
The walking belt may slow down if it is overtightened. To resolve this, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use the hex key to turn both idler roller bolts counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift the walking belt off the walking platform. Also, ensure you are using a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets the specified requirements.

What to do if the Freemotion XTr Treadmill console displays stay lit after removing the key?
    • J
      jason04Aug 20, 2025
The console may be in display demo mode, which is designed for store displays. To turn off this mode, hold down the Stop button for a few seconds. If the displays are still lit, see THE INFORMATION MODE on page 18 to turn off the demo mode.
