Troubleshooting
Welding torch cannot be connected
Cause: Bayonet fixing bent
Remedy: Replace bayonet fixing
No welding current
Mains switch ON, indicators on the power source are lit up, shielding gas flows
Cause: Faulty earth (ground) connection
Remedy: Check the earth (ground) connection and clamp for correct polarity
Cause: There is a break in the current cable in the welding torch
Remedy: Change the torch
Cause: Loose tungsten electrode
Remedy: Tighten tungsten electrode using torch cap
Cause: Loose parts
Remedy: Tighten parts
The machine does not function when the torch trigger is pressed
Mains switch ON, indicators on the power source are lit up, shielding gas flows
Cause: Control plug is not plugged in
Remedy: Plug in the control plug
Cause: The welding torch or torch control lead is defective
Remedy: Exchange the welding torch or torch control lead
Cause: Welding torch connection socket expanded
Remedy: Bend contacts on torch connecting plug accordingly
Cause: The plug connections between the torch trigger, control lead and power source are faulty
Remedy: Check each plug connection / send the power source and/or welding torch in for service
Cause: Dirt between the trigger button and the button housing
Remedy: Clean out this dirt
Cause: Defective PCB in welding torch
Remedy: Replace PCB
High frequency arc-over on torch connection
Cause: Welding torch connection leaking
Remedy: Replace O-ring on the bayonet fixing
High frequency arc-over on the handle shell
Cause: Hosepack leaking
Remedy: Replace hosepack
Cause: Shielding gas hose connection to torch body leaking
Remedy: Cut back hose and seal
No shielding gas
All other functions are OK
Cause: Gas cylinder is empty
Remedy: Change the gas cylinder
Cause: Gas pressure regulator is faulty
Remedy: Change the gas pressure regulator
Cause: The gas hose is not mounted, or is damaged or kinke
Remedy: Mount the gas hose, bend it straight or exchange it
Cause: Welding torch is faulty
Remedy: Exchange the welding torch
Cause: Gas solenoid valve is faulty
Remedy: Exchange the gas solenoid valve
