Installing and removing an M.2 module
(configuration dependent)
Your LIFEBOOK is equipped with a service compartment for an M.2 module. The LIFEBOOK
E459 can be ordered either with an M.2 module or with a standard h ard disk (HDD). For systems
with HDD, an M.2 adapter is available as an accessory to retrofit an M.2 module instead of the
HDD, if required. For mo re information on installing a hard disk, see "
Removing and installing
the hard disk (only LIFEBOOK E 459 with HDD expansion stage)", Page 61.
A standard hard disk cannot be installed in systems that were ordered with an M.2 module.
The LIFEBOOK E549 is shown below. The procedure is identical for all
variants. Differences are pointed out accordingly.
