Selecting the language fo r handwriting recogn ition
and keyboard
Selectthelanguage:forhandwritingrecognitionandkeyboard
Click on Control Panel Date, Time, Language and Regional Options Language and Regional options.
Select the Languages tab.
In the Text services and input languages eld, click on the Deta ils button.
In the next dialog window, select
the Settings register card and click th e
Add buttonintheInstalled Servi
ces eld.
In the next dialog window, select the desired Input area schema.
You can now decide which functions
(keyboard layout, hand writing recognition, etc.)
the selected input area schema is
to be ac tiv ated for.
Ma rk the desired fun ctions and then co n rm your entries by clicking the OK button.

Handwriting recognition under Windows Vista
Handwriting recognition under Windows Vista currently supports the following languages:
English, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (traditional and
simplied), Dutch, Portuguese and Bra zilian.
Handwriting recognition under Windows 7
Handwriting recognition under W indows 7 currently supports the fo llowing languages:
English, German, F ren ch, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (traditional and simplied), Dutch,
Portuguese, Spanish, Brazilian, Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk), Swedish, Finnish, Danish,
Polish, Rumanian, Serbian (Cyrillic and Latin script), Catalan, Russian, Czech and Croatian.
