SlotExpressCard
An Exp ressC ard slot enables operation of an Exp ressCard/34 or ExpressC ard/54.
Consult the documentation supplied by the ExpressCard’s manufactu rer
and follow the instructions provided.
Never u se force when installing or removing an ExpressCard.
Make sure that no foreign objects enter the ExpressCard slot.
Inserting the card
Keep the p laceholder for the slot in a safe place. When you remove the card a gain you
must rein stall the placeholder. This prevents foreign bodies from getting into the slot.

► If the eject button (1) is recessed, press it
once so that it disengages. Now press the
eject button ag ain so that the placeholder
protrudes slightly from the noteboo k.
► Pull the card placeholder out of th e slot (2).
► Insert the card into the slot guide with
the connection conta cts first.
► G ently push the card into the slot either
until it will go no further or you feel it
engage. Do not use excessive force.
Depending on the type, th e card may
protrude slightly from the slot.
