Status indicators Description
Battery charging indicator/po

The charging state of the batter
y is shown by the rechargeable batt ery
indicator.
With AC adapter connected:
• The indicator lights up white
: The battery is fully charged.
• The indicator lights up orange: The battery is cha rging.
• The indicator flashes oran
ge: The AC adapter is connected but the
battery cannot be charged
as the battery is too hot or too cold for
charging. The cha rging p
rocess is continued as soon as the battery
has reached a permissibl
e temperature again.
• The indicator is off: The system is in battery operation and the AC
adapter is not connected.

Drive indicator

The indicator is lit:
One of the drives (e.g. hard disk, CD/DVD) is being
accessed.
Num Lock indicator

right of the keys.
Caps Lock indicator

The indicator is lit: The Caps Lock key has been pressed. All the characters
you type will appear in upper case. In the case of overlay keys, the
character printed on the upp er left of the key will appear when that key
is pressed.
Wireless components indicator
• The indicator is lit: The wire less components are switched on.
• The indicator is not lit: The wireless components are switched off.
•Theindicatorisflashing: vPro is activated. The radio compone nts are
enabled when t he no tebook is in stan dby mode, hibernate mode or
is switched off.
