Connecting an external monitor to the Port Replicator
An analog monitor is connected to the analog VGA monitor port, a digital monitor to the D isplayPort
or to the DVI-D monitor port on t he optional Port Replicator. Monitor output is limited to a maximum
of two monitors at any one time (see "
Key combinations", Page 28, section "Toggle output m onitor").

► Switch off the notebook and the external monitor.
► Plug the data cable of th e external mon itor into the monitor port.
► First switch on the external monitor and then the notebook.
You can also switch between th e ext ernal monitor and the LCD monitor of the
notebook, see chapter "

You can display the same p icture on the external monitor and the
notebook L CD monitor simultaneously.
