Adjusting fan control
You can adjust th e fan control in the BIOS Setup Utility. The following settings are available:
• Normal: The system is cooled to ensure t hat the m aximum system performance is always
available and to keep the housing temperature as low as possible.
• Silent: The fa n rotation sp eed, and therefore the noise created by the fan, is reduced.
► Call up the BIOS Setup Utility.
► In the menu Advanced - Miscellaneous Configurations select the Fan Control function.
► C hoose the setting Normal or Silent.

Settings in BIOS Setup Utility", Page 60.
With the Fujitsu Utility Function Manager you c an also switch between these two
settings with Windows. In the Function Manager, select the Fan menu item with
the options Quiet Mode (correspond s to Silent)andNormal Mode.
