46 Operating Manual RX2510 M2
Ê Connect the monitor to the video connector at the rear.
I If a separate graphics card is installed in a slot, the graphic controller
on the system board is automatically deactivated. The corresponding
video connector can not be used. Plug the video cable of the monitor
into the video connector of the graphics card.
Ê Connect the power cord of the monitor to the mains socket strip of the rack.
I The rated current for the monitor is indicated on the technical data label
on the monitor or in the operating manual for the monitor.
Connecting an external DVD drive
The server has no internal DVD drive. I you want to use the ServerView Suite
Installation DVD to configure the server and to install the operating system,
connect an external DVD drive to an USB connector of the server.
I Make sure that the energy saving functions are disabled in the Power
menu of the BIOS Setup during operation, and that the DVD drive has
been activated as a boot medium.
5.4 Connecting the server to the mains
In its basic configuration level the server has a hot-plug power supply unit.
A second hot-plug power supply unit can be added to ensure a redundant power
supply. If one power supply unit is defective, the other then guarantees
unimpaired operation. Each hot-plug power supply unit can be replaced during
operation (see the Upgrade and Maintenance Manual of your server).
V CAUTION!
The PSU is automatically set to a mains voltage in the range 100 - 240
V. You may only operate the server if its rated voltage range corresponds
to the local mains voltage.
Ê Connect the power cord to the server power supply unit.
Ê Connect the mains connector to an outlet on the rack's socket strip (see also
Technical Manual for the rack).
I A phase redundancy in the power supply of the server can be set up if
two hot-plug power supply units are installed. In this case, each of the
power supply units is either connected to two different phases or to two
separate circuits of the internal power supply network.
