When PaperStream Capture is installed, it has been set (by default) to launch when the scan/stop button is

3 Load a document in the ADF paper chute (feeder).
Load the document face-down in the ADF paper chute (feeder).
For details, refer to How to Load Documents (page 49).
4 Press the scan/stop button.
The image scanning application specified for the button on the scanner is started up.
