AltitudeAlertingprovidesthepilotwithavisualalertwhenapproachingtheSelectedAltitude.Wheneverthe
SelectedAltitudeischanged,theAltitudeAlerterisreset.TheAltitudeAlerterisindependentoftheGFC700
AFCS,butalertingtonesareheardonlywhentheGFC700isinstalled.Thefollowingoccurwhenapproaching
theSelectedAltitude:
•Uponpassingthrough1000feetoftheSelectedAltitudeanauraltoneisheard.TheSelectedAltitudechanges
toblacktextonalightbluebackgroundandashesfor5seconds.
•Whentheaircraftpasseswithin200feetoftheSelectedAltitude,theSelectedAltitudechangestolightblue
textonablackbackgroundandashesfor5seconds.
•AfterreachingtheSelectedAltitude,ifthepilotiesoutsidethedeviationband(±200feetoftheSelected
Altitude)anauraltoneisheard.TheSelectedAltitudechangestoyellowtextonablackbackgroundand
ashesfor5seconds.

NOTE: A Low Altitude Annunciation is available only when SBAS is available.
WhentheFinalApproachFix(FAF)istheactivewaypointinaGPSSBASapproachusingverticalguidance,
aLowAltitudeAnnunciationmayappearifthecurrentaircraftaltitudeisatleast164feetbelowtheprescribed
altitudeattheFAF.Ablack-on-yellowLOWALTannunciationappearstothetopleftoftheAltimeter,ashing
for several seconds, then remaining displayed until the condition is resolved.
