Setting up digital audio

3 Highlight Dolby, then press the buttons to select:
■ Bitstream
Outputs raw 5.1-channel digital signals from the optical or coaxial
digital audio jacks. Use this setting when the player is connected to
an external amplifier with a Dolby Digital decoder.
■ PCM
Outputs 2-channel digital audio from the optical or coaxial digital
audio jacks.
■ Off
Turns off Dolby Digital output.
4 Highlight OK, then press ENTER.
Configuring DTS
This setting configures the format of DTS (Digital Theater Sound) output signals.
To set your DTS preferences:
1 On the player’s remote control, press STOP, then press SETUP. The main
Setup menu opens.
2 Use your remote control’s arrow buttons to highlight Digital, then press
ENTER. The Digital audio setup menu appears.
