INSTALLING THE ZONELINE
[] INSTALL THE WALL CASE AND
EXTERIOR GRILLE
TheRAB71Aseriesor RAB77A4wall case must be
properly installed per instructions packed with the case.
• Removethe corrugated stiffener and the outdoor
protective panel. Usethe slit in the outdoor panel
asa handhold and push out.

• Installthe exterior grille from the room side following
instructions packed with the grille.
Insulated Wall Case
Thisunit is designedto be installed in a GEplastic
or an insulated steelwall case.This minimizes
condensation from forming on the room side of
the case.
TheRAB71Aserieswall cases are insulated.Insulation kit
RAK901Lis available for use with RAB77A4or existing
uninsulated wall cases when needed.
NOTE:For installation with a subbase or duct adapter,
seethe instructions packed with those kits.
IYI PREPARE THE UNIT
• Carefullyremove shippingtape and foam shipping
blocksfrom the room cabinet, compressor and
vent door. There may be multiple blocks and pieces
of shipping tape that need to be removed.

• Removethe room cabinet by pulling it out at the
bottom to releaseit (1);then lift it up to clear the rail
along the unit top (2).
• Ifvent door is to be operational, removeshippingscrews
from the front sideofthe vent door,ifpresent.
