Advance to Exercise
1. Advance to the EXERCISE phase using one of the
following methods:
u Press Phase.
u Next press Exercise.
2. To edit the settings for the MANUAL mode of
operation, choose the menu option, STAGES/
MANUAL, via the function keys to switch from the
STAGES mode of operation to the MANUAL mode.
á When you create or edit a ramp protocol, always define at
least four interim stages between the first and last stage. This
prevents abrupt changes in workload or speed and grade if
the stage advances accidentally.
3. Change the EXERCISE phase information. See “Pre-
Test Protocol Information” on page 7-7 as a sample
guide for editing this protocol information.
