Equipment Problems
Reducing ECG Data Noise
If the acquired ECG data displays unacceptable noise
levels:
n
Verify proper electrode placement.
n
Verify proper electrode application. Perspiration and
dead skin cells must be removed from the electrode
site.
n
Check for defective or date expired electrodes.
n
Check for defective, broken, or disconnected leadwires.
n
Check the patient’s position. The patient should remain
motionless during the acquisition of a resting ECG.
There is No ACI-TIPI Report
n
ACI-TIPI is disabled.
u
Enable ACI-TIPI.
n
The selected report is without interpretation.
u
Select Interpretation for the report.
n
The ACI-TIPI required information is not entered.
u
Make sure the age range, gender, and chest pain
complaints are entered.
n
The patient was entered as pediatric.
u
Make sure you enter an age range less than 16.
n
The original ECG was acquired in an
electrocardiograph without the ACI-TIPI option.
