Cleaning
All exterior surfaces—detector, tether, and grid—should be cleaned after each exam.
x The detector and grid must be allowed to dry before use.
x Do not leave disposable wipes or cleaning cloths on the detector or grid for more than 60 seconds.
x Let the detector dry at least 60 seconds between cleanings.
The following chemicals and products have been tested and approved by GE for cleaning the GE Portable
DR Detector, grid, and tether.
x Cidex OPA
x Oxivir
x Super Sani-Cloth Germicidal Wipes
x Bleach (50% solution)
