2 Planned Maintenance
To ensure safe and effective operation of the equipment, planned maintenance procedures should be
carried out at the intervals specified.
2-1 Planned maintenance performed by the Field Service Engineer
Planned Maintenance (PM) shall be performed twice a year by a GEMS Service Representative or simi-
larly qualified and trained personnel.
A complete day is necessary on each occasion. The procedures and their frequency are listed below.

Check Gantry functions 12
Check for correct collimation 12
Remove Gantry covers. 12
Check and lubricate Gantry mechanisms 12
Change Gantry CPU Board 120
Reinstall Gantry covers 12
