For child restraint systems not classified according to ISO/XX dimensions (A-G), and for the
applicable mass group, the vehicle manufacturer shall describe the ISOFIX child restraint
system specific to the vehicle recommended for each seating position.
Note: The meanings of the keywords entered in the table above are: IUF = Frontal generic
ISOFIX child restraint system applicable for the mass group certification; IL = special ISOFIX
child restraint system applicable for the list. These restraint systems may be used for special
vehicle types 475, restricted types or semi-generic types. X = ISOFIX position is not
applicable for the ISOFIX child restraint system of that mass group and/or that size level.
A – ISO/F3: Full height forward toddler CRS
B – ISO/F2: Reduced height forward toddler CRS
B1–ISO/F2x: Reduced height forward toddler CRS
C – ISO/R3: Full size backward toddler CRS
D – ISO/R2: Reduced size backward toddler CRS
E – ISO/R1: Backward toddler CRS
F – ISO/L1: Left lateral position CRS (load bearing folding bed)
G – ISO/L2: Right side position CRS (CarryCot)
Make sure to stay away from the head restraints before installing all child restraint
systems.
