Safety Check Before Driving
Perform a safety check before drive the car.
Several minutes’ check makes driving safe and
fun. You only need to be familiar with the ve-
hicle sections. If you are willing to ask Geely
service station to inspect the car for you.
Inspection Before Starting the Engine
Vehicle exterior
Tire: check the tire pressure with pressure in-
dicator and carefully inspect if there is any cut,
damage, or excessive wear.
Wheel nut: make sure no nut is lost or loose.
Leak: inspect the ground if there is any fuel,
oil, water or other uid drained to the ground
after the vehicle has stopped there for a while.
Lighting: make sure the combination light,
stop light, tail light, turn light and other lights
work. Check the front combination light aim-
ing.
Inside the vehicle
Spare tire, jack and wheel nut wrench. In-
spect tire pressure and conrm if there is spare
tire, jack, and wheel nut wrench.
Seat belt: inspect if all belt buckles work.
Make sure the buckle is not worn or damaged.
Indicator Panel and controllers: pay special
attention to make sure the service indicator, IP
light, and defroster work.
Brake: make sure pedal has enough freeplay.
Inside the engine compartment
Spare fuse: make sure you have all types of
fuses. Prepare fuses of different rated electric
charge in the fuse box.
Coolant level: make sure the coolant level is
correct. For details, please refer to Chapter 6-7.
Battery and cable: Check if there is any cor-
rosion and loose connection, or cracks on box.
Check if the cable and connections are good.
Wires: inspect if there is any damaged, loose,
or disconnected wires.
Fuel pipe: inspect if there is any fuel leak or
bad connection.
If the inspection is conducted in a closed
garage, make sure it has good ventilation.
Exhaust from the engine is poisonous.
