If you plan to move the vehicle, follow
the instructions below to avoid damages
to transmission and other parts:
Do not depress acceleration pedal
when shifting with selection lever or be-
fore the transmission is shifted to D or R
positions.
Do not race the engine and avoid
wheel spinning.
Use other methods such as towing if
the vehicle is still stuck after shaking the
vehicle for some time.
6. Vehicle in Need of Tow
When towing is needed, Geely suggests asking
Geely service station or professional towing
companies for help. Please advise them to fol-
low (a) or (b).
Only when Geely service station and profes-
sional towing companies are not available,
follow the instructions on “emergency towing”
in this chapter and tow the vehicle carefully
yourself.
Have to use appropriate equipment to avoid
damages to the car. Professional towing com-
panies are familiar with national/state/ and lo-
cal towing laws.
Improper towing methods damage cars. Al-
though most professionals know the correct
methods, they may still make mistakes. To
avoid damages to the car, please follow the
precautions listed below. When necessary, give
the precaution list to the towing truck driver
for reference.
