22. Manual Transmission
The gear shift types are shown in the following
illustration
When shifting the gear, fully depress the clutch
pedal, then release it slowly and gradually.
During driving, do not put your foot on the
clutch pedal, otherwise it could result in clutch
fault. When parking the car on a slope, do not
use clutch to keep the car stopped, you have to
use park brake.
Fast shift-up or slow shift-down may result
in engine loading deceleration and knocking
noise may be heard. Frequent rotation at high-
est speed of each range will result in engine
wear and waste of fuel.
Please refer to the following table for the rec-
ommended vehicle speed at gear shift:
