Warning
After the engine is started
Exhaust system: listen for exhaust leaks.
Should there be any exhaust leak, have it re-
paired immediately. Refer to Chapter 2-6 en-
gine emission warning.
Oil level: stop the engine, and park the vehicle
on at road. Use oil level indicator to measure
oil level. (Please refer to chapter 6.4 “Oil Lev-
els Check”).
When driving
Instrument: Speed meter and measurements
work propery.
Brake: make sure if brake has power and not
lean to any direction in a safe place.
Other abnormal phenomenon: Check for bad
connection, leak, and abnormal noise. If every-
thing is normal, relax and enjoy driving.
Notice
Avoid driving through water when driving
on moisture road surface. If a lot of wa-
ter is spilt into the engine compartment,
engine and other electric components will
be damaged.
Make sure the parking brake is re-
leased and parking brake indication
light is off before drive.
Do not leave the car while the engine
is still running.
there is no brake force, the brake may be
wet. Apply parking brake, drive carefully,
and depress brake pedal to dry it. If it still
does not work safely, stop the vehicle, and
ask for help from Geely service station.
12. Driving Tips under Circum-
stances
Slow down when driving against the wind
to handle the vehicle easily.
Drive slowly and keep the right angle,
when driving close to road edge. Avoid
driving on objects with tall and sharp edge
and dangerous roads. Or the tire will be
severely damaged and may blow up. Slow
down when driving through rough or un-
even road surface, or tire and/or wheel will
be seriously damaged by the bumping.
If the vehicle is parked on a slope, turn the
front wheel to touch the road edge, so that
the vehicle does not slide. Apply parking
brake, and shift the transmission to “P”
position (AT), 1st or reverse gear (MT).
When necessary, stop the wheel.
Brake may be wet when the car is washed
or has run through deep water. To check if
it is wet, make sure if the surrounding is
safe rst and depress the brake pedal. If
