3. Connect the cable in the order of a, b, c,
and d.
a: connect the clip of positive (red) jump
cable to the positive connector (+) of the
discharged battery.
b: connect clip at the other end of positive
(red) jump cable to the positive connector
(+) of the charging battery.
c: connect the clip of negative (black)
jump cable to the negative connector (-) of
the charging battery.
d: connect clip at the other end of negative
(black) jump cable to a unpainted metal
point on the vehicle with the discharged
battery.

gure:
