Transmission lubricant(L)
Oil Filter
Engine oil dipstick
Notice
The oil consumption of new vehicles af-
ter certain miles can be minimum, while
within the rst 5000 km, the consumption
will be a little higher than standard value.
Replace Engine Oil
First place a container for discarded oil under
the engine oil pan, unscrew the oil plug. When
oil is drained, unfasten the oil filter with a
wrench and remove it (see illustration below).
When engine is cranking, the oil filter and
drain plug should not see any seepage. Seep-
age means improper installation.
Switch off the ignition, wait for 3 minutes, and
check the engine oil level again. Add more oil
when necessary.
Put a little oil on the rubber gasket of new oil
lter, and fasten the new oil lter till the rubber
gasket touches the seat, and rotate another 3/4
cycle to x it. Put the drain plug and new gasket
back, and screw the plug tightly with a wrench.
After lling the oil, fasten the oil ller cap, and
check the oil level with indicator. (See illustra-
tion below).
