If there is a problem in the system, you should
go to Geely service station to have the car
checked immediately, otherwise the air bag
may not work in case of accidents and we won’
t
be in the position to undertake any liability.
Air Bag Triggering Conditions:
Please see the shadow in the gure below for
the air bag. It will be triggered in case of se-
vere frontal collision.
In case of slight frontal or side impact, or tail
impact or rollover, normally the air bag system
will not be triggered and the passengers will be
protected by the seat belts.
Impact from the back
Since there are millions of different causes of
impact accidents and the subsequent conse-
quences, it is impossible for the designer to de-
ne the accurate air bag triggering conditions
for all situations. The air bag system design
considers factors including the characteristics
of the impacting object (e.g. softness and hard-
ness), impact angle, vehicle speed…etc. The
triggering of the air bag depends on the com-
parison of vehicle deceleration on impact with
the deceleration set in the control unit. If the
vehicle deceleration on impact is less than the
base value set in the control unit, the air bag
system will not be triggered even if the car is
severely damaged.
Air bag control unit has taken into full consid-
eration the various frequent mis-operations and
adverse road conditions when it is designed.
